The first Sanpokojin God in JapaniKojindo Hall of exorcismj
The virtuous Prince Kaisei was deified as the first Kojin god in Japan. For over one thousand years he protected the country against misfortune and disaster, and hailed in good fortune. Later known as the Futsu-kojin, he was joined by the Sei-kojin and Tateri-kojin, and the three were worshipped in their tripartite form as the Sanpo-kojin gods. The Sanpo-kojin Saito o-goma ritual is held every January 28th to pray for world prosperity.
